This Royal Enfield Continental GT is finished in British racing green and cafe racer styled, this bike is fitted with after market exhausts, The 270-degree firing order ensures there’s a burbling character to the cafe racer’s exhaust note, the 648cc parallel-twin motor churns out 47hp of max power at 7250rpm and 52Nm of peak torque at 5250rpm. RE says that 80% of this torque is available from as low as 2500rpm. And it actually is. This motorcycle pulls brilliantly.
To put the quality of the modern Continental GT 650 twin engine in perspective in 2018 Cayla Riva, an 18-year-old racer from California, set a new land speed record of 157.053 mph during Speed Week at the Bonneville Salts Flats.

The Royal Enfield with a 120 year history was founded in the United Kingdom and started manufacture in 1901 making it the oldest motorcycle manufacturer still in production, in 1955 Enfield partnered with Madras Motors in India to form ‘Enfield India’, British manufacturing of the Enfield ceased in 1970 with all production moving to India.
By 1997 Forty-eight years after developing its first production café racer, Royal Enfield rolled out an all-new Continental GT. Royal Enfield is now one of the leading global manufacturers by volume, in 2022-23 they manufactured more than 800,000 motorcycles. To put this in perspective, BMW manufacture just over 200,00 per year.
